World Peace Produce - Port Hadlock, Rhody Drive



A video postcard of World Peace Produce in Port Hadlock, WA. The fresh fruit and vegetable stand will close in December and open in May 2009.

Currently, local farmers (Nash's, Colinwood Farms, Solstice Farms and Red Dog Farm) organic produce is available from the road side outlet.

World Peace Produce Salsa Recipe

Fresh Tomato Salsa Recipe Ingredients

  • 4-8 tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove peeled
  • 2-4 fresh whole jalapeƱos
  • 1 large sweet onions
  • 1 large bunch cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 lime (juice)
  • 4-8 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions


In a blender, add one half cut-up tomatoe, cilantro ends, jalapeƱos (cut up), garlic

Blend every thing together and put into mixing bowl

In the food processor, turn the motor on chop and add cilantro and one half cut-up tomatoe and chop for a few seconds.

Add to mixing bowl

In the food processor, for a few seconds chop up the sweet onion

Add to mixing bowl

In In the food processor, for a few seconds chop up the tomatoes (don't over fill).

Add to mixing bowl

Repeat until all the tomotoes are chopped up and put into the mixing bowl

Stir everything together in the mixing bowl

Add all the remaining ingredients lime juice, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.

Allow to season for approximately one hour

Just before serving mix in the 1/4 cup of ice water to cool the salsa.

Serve with tortilla chips, enhance your favorite chicken recipes, fish, barbecue beef, or with beans wrapped in a tortilla.

This healthy homemade tomato salsa recipe is great with everything.

Since you will not have any left, storing is not a problem.

Makes about 2 cups.
