Over the past five years, WSU has helped develop about forty new local businesses including cheese, organic milk, vegetable farms and direct marketing firms. The Port Townsend Farmers Market is one of the largest markets in Puget Sound with annual sales over $700,000. The market has also grown from 5 vendors in 2001 to over 55 in 2006.
